Low pressure hose assemblies

A low pressure hose is used for the following types of gas: oxygen, nitrous oxide, medical air, AIR 8 bar, N2 8 bar and vacuum.

This flexible hose can be used under pressures from 300 kPa to 1400 kPa for medical gases and from 10 kPa to 100 kPa for vacuum.

The hose can connect:

  • wall panels and medical equipment (EN 737-1, EN 740 and En 794-1);
  • gas distribution systems and one of the wall panels (EN 737-3 and EN 793);
  • two wall panels (EN 737-3);
  • Emergency gas supply station and medical equipment (EN 738-1, EN 740 and EN 794-1).

Low pressure hoses with connectors meet the standards of EN ISO 5359 and are used with the following gases:

  • oxygen (O2);
  • nitrous oxide (N2O);
  • medical air (AIR);
  • air for surgical instruments (AIR 8 bar);
  • vacuum (VAC).

Flexible hoses can be used in pressure ranges from 300 kPa to 1400 kPa for compressed medical gases and from 10 kPa to 100 kPa (absolute pressure) for vacuum.

Below are several options for using hoses with connectors:

  • connection between medical panel and medical equipment (Standards EN ISO 9170-1, EN ISO 80601-2-13 and EN ISO 80601-2-12);
  • connection between the pipes of the medical gas pipeline and the medical panel (Standards EN ISO 7396-1 and EN ISO 11197);
  • connection between two medical panels (Standards EN ISO 7396-1);
  • connection between the emergency power supply and the emergency power supply point, support of the gas pipes of the delivery system (Standards EN ISO 10524-1 and EN ISO7396-1);
  • connection between emergency power supply and medical equipment (Standards EN ISO 10524-1, EN ISO 80601-2-13 and EN ISO 80601-2-12).

Hoses for compressed medical gases: diameter 11.5x5 mm.
Hoses for vacuum: diameter 13.5x6.3 mm.
Inner hose layer: black EPDM with antistatic treatment.
Hose base: polyester.
Hose coating: EPDM, color corresponds to gas.
Working pressure of compressed medical gases: 300 - 1400 kPa
Working vacuum pressure: 10 - 100 kPa (absolute pressure)
