The use of ceiling medical consoles

Use of medical ceiling consoles in healthcare facilities

Respiratory support for the patient is an essential element in the treatment of all critical conditions. Resuscitation, operations and treatment of chronic diseases are impossible without assisted breathing. The energy delivered by inhaled oxygen to each cell of the body provides a full therapeutic effect, often superior to the effect of a chemical preparation.

The times when therapeutic substrates were measured by doctors “by eye” have passed. Now the dosage of medical gases is calculated up to a milliliter with high-precision instruments and delivered under carefully controlled pressure to the patient. In this case, the medical ceiling consoles for life support, the necessary equipment for the distribution of medical gases  become indispensable assistants. In addition to saving space, unique suspended life-support systems simplify the work of medical staff - quick connectors for medical gases eliminate the human factor and prevent the giving of wrong gas.

Ceiling medical consoles - the most sophisticated equipment in the line of consoles, designed for rooms with limited working area. Such consoles are irreplaceable in operating rooms: thanks to the mobility of the ceiling anesthetic consoles, the anesthetist is able to freely move the console around the operating table without interfering with the surgeon. The same principles are followed when ceiling intensive care consoles are installed in emergency and intensive care units.

The columns are mounted to the ceiling, taking into account the structural abilities. Options with additional fastening to the floor have a tangible plus for already operating rooms - they do not require coordination with design organizations, since they do not bear the additional load on the bearing walls and ceiling ceilings.

On the example of one of the domestic developments, unique CADUCEUS suspended life-support systems, we explain the principle of their work: the ceiling console is a cabinet of sources of medical gas and power with one or more rotary arms, on which there are connectors of medical gases and vacuum, electrical outlets, low-current sockets for data transmission, as well as shelves for additional equipment. The ceiling console is designed to work with medical oxygen, compressed air, vacuum, nitrous oxide, carbon dioxide — a separate connector is installed for each type of gas, their number on the housing is determined by the customer. The consoles can also be equipped with AGSS connectors for the removal of anesthetic gases and AIR-Motor connectors for the pneumatic tool. Arbitrary installation of the cabinet of sources in space is ensured by combinations of horizontal and vertical shoulders, and is fixed by a manual brake. The double ceiling bridge console allows you to place the medical gas connectors DIN 13260-2 and electrical outlets - in double quantity - on both sides of the work area.

Ceiling consoles CADUCEUS are made of anodized aluminum - beautiful, lightweight and durable material resistant to antiseptic procedures. In addition to the main gas supply function, suspended life-support systems include luminaires for top, direct and night lighting, communicators and rails for auxiliary equipment.

Ease of use, rational placement of connectors and plugs, compatibility with any type of compressor, resuscitation, breathing equipment - this is CADUCEUS - an unique solution for modern healthcare facilities.

The ceiling-mounted medical console, depending on the configuration, can be resuscitative, surgical or anesthetic. A specially developed quality management system, the use of high-tech equipment, as well as the most advanced components and consumables allow WestMedGroup to produce competitive products that meet modern requirements and standards.
